History
The Forum, the Castle, the Churches.
Born as a Roman colony, then became a Lombard duchy, then a free city (libero comune) and finally came under the Republic of Venice: Brescia has endured several dominations. Their passage is evident in monuments and buildings that are symbols of its history: the Tempio Capitolino, the Borletto, the Loggia, the Castle, the Rotonda and other beautiful churches of the city centre.

The city
Streets, squares, events.
Brescia is a city on a human scale. Meeting places, streets, squares and theatres warm up all over the year with great events: from Mille Miglia to the International Piano Festival and the rich summer programme with sophisticated suggestions of circus, dance and contemporary theatre.
